About Us
Projects and patient care
EtNoHep was formalized as an NGO in 2024, but its history started already a decade before when Norwegian researchers met with a group of committed Ethiopian healthcare workers came together to establish a pilot program for the treatment of hepatitis B at St. Paul’s Hospital in Addis Ababa. Simultaneously, the group was intrigued by the high prevalence of unexplained liver disease in eastern Ethiopia and set up a project study aiming to reveal the underlying causes.

Mission

We aim to do this by working with local and international partners, and by promoting peers to partake in these projects. In addition, we aim to establish a patient advocacy organization that can promote the rights and views of people living with chronic hepatitis B in the region
